January brings a new year and along with it new challenges and opportunities. Our short time here in the States is quickly coming to a close. We’ve certainly enjoyed being with our families, home churches, and many friends since returning. We’ve had the opportunity to minister in several churches as well. What a joy it’s been to see how the Lord continues to do His work of building HIS church even when we’re out of the picture.
In spite of seemingly constantly being sick since we arrived in the States, everyone is doing well. Jamie had a bout of Covid a few weeks ago. Thankfully, she has been healthy since then. The pregnancy continues well. Pray that as we get back we can make all the necessary appointments and consultations that we need.
2022 is certainly going to be a memorable and opportunity-filled year. We arrive back in Brazil on Friday, January 28th. Please pray with us that we have wisdom in packing and that all our stuff arrives with no delays. We’ll have all of Lainey’s school material as well as vital items for the baby coming with us.
We had hoped and prayed that a vaccine mandate would not be put in effect for Brazil. However, at the end of December, the health ministry decreed that all incoming foreigners need to be fully vaccinated to enter Brazil. Thankfully, this mandate does not apply to us; however, several groups had expressed interest in coming to help us with flyer/John and Romans distribution over the summer. Please pray for wisdom for these pastors and leaders. We would love for them to still come but certainly understand those having second thoughts.
There’s much work to do when we arrive back home. We’ll be getting the house in order and begin looking for housing in Pinda. We’ll be getting ready for Baby #3. We’ll be preparing to start school with Lainey in August. We’ll begin working in Pinda to establish friendships with door-to-door soulwinning and visitation, discipleship, and preaching points. We’ll begin looking for the neighborhood and meeting location. We certainly covet your prayers.
We’re so proud of Bro. Jonathan. He finished Bible school in December and will be graduating in just a few days. We’re excited to have him along with us and trusting the Lord to use him for His honor and glory.
Thanks again for your trust in and love for us. We are excited for the year ahead and we look forward to how God will show His great power and grace in our lives and yours’!
Keith, Jamie, Lainey, Clayton, and Baby Putnam
