We trust that this update finds you well and excited in serving our Saviour! What a wonderful month April was! From new supporting churches to soulwinning and ministry opportunities, the Lord was so good to us this past month.
April started off finishing up my family time after Clayton was born. The first Sunday in April I was in central Wisconsin all day. That Wednesday I was south Texas baking in 90º temps! Praise the Lord for His safety as I traveled over 1200 miles in a day and a half. I left Jamie and the kids with my mother in law in Bourbonnais and was out for 4 and a half weeks in Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas. The Lord blessed each meeting I was in. I had the opportunity to preach, sing, go soulwinning, and work on projects at a couple of churches.
One of the highlights of the month was to be with Pastor John Hinton and Faith Baptist Church in Aransas Pass, TX. The Hintons were missionaries in Brazil for a number of years. Bro. Hinton’s life and testimony were instrumental in God’s calling me to Brazil. It was very special to be able to spend some time with him and his sweet wife and see all that the Lord is doing there in south Texas. I had not seen them since the early 2000s and it was encouraging to hear about what the Lord allowed them to accomplish in Brazil and to be reminded of what’s in store Lord willing very soon!
We are constantly amazed at how the Lord has provided in so many ways for our physical and spiritual needs. I was in several meetings where it seemed like the Lord was really dealing with me in specific ways. It was amazing after I returned home and talking with Jamie and seeing how the Lord was teaching us both the same lessons – many times without us even knowing it. I’m thankful for His dealing with His children in tenderness, grace, and love. Physically, our needs have been met and then some! We’ve already been able to save nearly a third of our set up fund and are officially at 70% of our support coming in. We had 3 churches in April that informed us they would partner with us and 2 churches who had previously promised began to support us. We are sincerely grateful to our Father for His wonderful care and protection to us. At a meeting in Arkansas, I was able to pick up 2 more meetings which was a huge blessing. Our calendar remains full for the year and we are eagerly anticipating the day when we are fully supported and to the place that we have been praying, dreaming, and planning on being for so long. Looking at what the Lord’s done, we are praying that the Lord will allow us to move to Brazil in February of 2020. We have no firm plans as of yet, but in many ways, it appears that will be our window of opportunity. Please continue to pray with us that this will become a reality, that paperwork would go smoothly, and that the details of the move and the transition will go well. Also, we leave for Texas again today. Please pray for safety as we travel many miles in the coming days.
