Praise the Lord for His goodness to us through your prayer and financial sacrifice. September was a memorable month. Thank you to all those that prayed for the 5th anniversary conference. The Lord blessed – 7 people were saved and we saw over 50 first time guests come as a result of the hard work of the church. I had the opportunity to deliver invites to listeners of a local Christian radio station here in Taubaté with both Jamie and Jonata, one of the young men in the church. There is a lot of follow-up to be done now. Please pray as the work is just getting started.
As we continue in progressing with language school it has been so fun to see the incremental growth day in and day out. I was able to preach a few times, make many visits, and get to know many people as a result of the work of the conference. Jamie and I sang together during the conference. Praise the Lord for His grace in learning and continued growth. We will be growing for a long time with our language skills. It’s so important to never lose sight of why we’re learning to begin with.
Quite often we have people stop by the house looking for food or odd-jobs. Just recently we had a man named Mateus stop by the house. He lives in the street and asked for food. As I gathered a few things for him, I grabbed a tract to give to him. I returned to the door and gave him the sack of food. I handed him the tract as well and we began to talk about him and his needs. We talked for quite a while and at the end of the Gospel he asked Christ to be his Saviour. That is why we’re here in Brazil. Reaching people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so thankful for your prayers and financial sacrifice so that we can spread the Gospel here in Brazil. It has been a memorable year for us as I know it has been for you as well. I am thankful that the Word of God does not return void. I am thankful that the gates of hell shall not prevail against His Church. In every place in any tongue when the Gospel is preached there is fruit.
I am super excited about the opportunity I have to lead this year’s Christmas Cantata. I love music, and Bro. Ed has given me the opportunity to lead the choir and rehearsals. We are scheduled to have the cantata on December 20th. This will be a great amount of work – nothing to say of the growth with our language capabilities. Please pray that the Lord would bless as we work to learn the music and have many visitors to hear the wonderful Gospel message in word and song.
Please pray for a special request that we have. I hope to be able to share more in the days ahead but for now I’ll just ask that you join us in prayer. We know that you hold us up in prayer and that means far more than any amount of money given. We are so grateful for you and your prayer. We love you all and pray for you often. If there’s anything that we can do to help, please let us know.
